It is amazing how much a difference it makes when you choose to be nice.
I feel like it has become a habit for me to complain or be short with people lately.
But when you choose to respond in a loving way, people generally repond in a loving way too.

Mere Christianity was an assigned text for my Philosophy class. Great course; great book. Anyway, whenever I first read that passage, I thought, well crap....If each choice you make leads you to the person you are going to become, I am not becoming a very great person. My choices lately have not been the best. My thoughts and behavior towards others need to change. I have lost my positivity and my carefree love towards others. I must take a step in the right direction and start being the person I want to become.

high school reunion

I had a group of girlfriends in high school. There were 5 of us: Kali, Kelsey, Carley, Laura, and Me.

Well, as of this Christmas break, Laura is engaged!

Her fiance is in town, so we thought it would be a good idea to all go to dinner, meet the boy, and catch up.

We decided to meet @ Cafe Nova on Western. 8:00.

I get there a little late...8:07 - I call Kelsey to see where she is. She is inside and said she would meet me by the front door. I got out of my car, see Kelsey and give her a big hug. We start to walk as she leads me to where we are sitting. When we get to our table I see everyone I expected...plus a few more

All the girls brought a date with them. Awesome. I did NOT get the date memo...

So here I am, miss single Andrea sitting down with the couples.

saw an old friend...

So I'm driving on Bagby today when I see my friend Cassie Jo from Kamp! She was running on the side of the road and I have not seen her ALL semester so I thought it would be a good idea to pull over, get out of the car, and attack her with a huge hug. Like I said, I have not seen her ALL semester so I was really excited when I saw her.

me: "Cassie Jo, Where have you been!!!"
'Cassie Jo': "uh, I'm really sweaty..."

I give her the biggest hug, look her in the eye, and realize IT IS NOT CASSIE JO!!!!!

It is Leigh Anne. Awesome mistake.

me: "Leigh Anne? Oh my gosh, I thought you were someone else. Do you know Cassie Jo?"
Leigh Anne: "No."
me: "Well you look just like her. Well, um, have a good run...see ya"

WHYYY! Why did I not realize who it was until AFTER I hugged her?

I need contacts....or a brain...

80 years of thanksgiving

it is my grandma pick's 80th birthday today!

it also happens to be thanksgiving.

my uncle roger drove down from missouri to suprise her!

we got the whole thing on camera: noise makers, hugs, smiling, and then her face of suprise when she saw my uncle. it was so sweet.

i asked my mom why we didn't throw her a birthday party.

my mom said she wanted to, but all her friends are dying so the party would be small! so WEIRD. right now, all my friends are getting engaged, then the baby phase will start, i cant imagine the death phase...

dang andrea, way to get morbid.

thankful to be alive. happy thanksgiving!!!!

i got hit on today...

SO, I am at the Toyota dealership getting my oil changed.
They said it would take approximately 40 minutes.
So I sit down at a table and do some stuff for school.
In the middle of my studies I say, "Hey self, you need to use the restroom!"
So I go to the bathroom, do my thing, and when I come back there is a foreign piece of paper by my stuff...
It is a tiny piece of paper ripped off of a bigger piece of paper and it says...

i forgot this existed until rachel reminded me she was updating hers. who knew.

here i am in the computer lab of moody writing my first 2 editorials for my policy class. woop!

i went to see patrick dodd play in concert tonight. he is a baller.

matt wertz is coming for the omega kids concert on friday - stephanie holford shall appear for a visit then too :)
